Off Location is a creative reset, an escape to nature, a way to meet like-minded others.
A pathway back to flow.
LET NATURE DO ITS THING.
Research has shown nature is a conduit for increasing creativity, calm, empathy, perceptiveness and presence.
3 days with flora, fauna and sunshine can usher in a profound release of the modern world.

CREATIVITY REQUIRES CONNECTEDNESS.
A retreat to connect you back to yourself and others. Because creativity is nourished through community and connection with the natural world around us.

On your first day in nature,
the prefrontal cortex is freed up, allowing it to rest and other parts of the brain take over.
Your sensory experience shifts.
Sight, smell and hearing become more acute.
Your mind moves toward empathy and productive day-dreaming. It is from this place of peace and alignment that creativity flows.
FROM CREATIVE BLOCK TO FLOW,
AND NATURE’S ROLE IN IT ALL
The role of the prefrontal cortex (PFC) is to concentrate, search for existing information stored in your memory, and create new ideas; essentially, it is responsible for the creative process.

When we are too focused, stressed, or overwhelmed, the PFC becomes strained, and innovative thought is limited.

The creativity we are working so hard to access feels fragmented and less accessible.

THE 3 DAY EFFECT
Neuroscientist and backpacker David Strayer noticed that some of his best ideas emerged on his third day of being immersed in nature.
His research confirmed that, on average, creativity improves nearly 50% after two days and two nights in nature.
He coined this cognitive boost the “three day effect.”
